Miyamoto working on new 'original title'

Mario creator has something new in the pipeline

Mario creator and legendary Nintendo producer Shigeru Miyamoto has revealed he's working on a new original game.

Miyamoto reportedly made the revelation during an interview with Zoomin Games, who say the producer told them he's working on several upcoming games including "an undisclosed original title".

This, says Zoomin, is in addition to his work on Pikmin 3 for Wii U and Luigi's Mansion 2 for 3DS.

Miyamoto didn't reveal anything about the secret project, but did say: "People have come to expect a lot from me. This certainly makes me feel some pressure."

He added: "But if you ask me, 'is it too much pressure to try to come out with something new?', I have to say no, I'm enjoying myself. But when I make something I always try to do my best."

I'm almost sure I'd rather have a new entry in one of their original series, perhaps they could hurry up with the 3DS Majoras Mask remake.

Wonderful news to start a new gaming year!

Whatever the game is, I'll be buying it.

You can't ignore genius like Miyamoto's.

Well, as he is the guy that made:
Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong. F-Zero, Pikmin and many others, im guessing ppl are expecting a lot from him.

I cant wait to see what he comes up with :D

Isn't he already spread a little too thin?

The last great game Miyamoto created was Pikmin, but I really think it's about time Nintendo should be nurturing younger talent, instead of stretching older talent.

I'd say he's been more of an overseer of late. Not enough 'hands on' imo.
I reckon all Nintendo fans should welcome this marvellous news.
    Get him back developing.
    Where he belongs.

    Wii Sports.
    Wii Music.
    Wii Fit.

Next stop... Wii Real. "Augmented Reality" craziness.

After the lists above, Mario Paint, Brain Training, Nintendogs and other similar casual distractions, I am not expecting anything revolutionary without AR. After all, if you add PilotWings, Mario Kart, Mario, Smash Bros... Pretty much every genre has been covered and AR is supposedly the next big thing!
