With the exception of some misleading and rather frustrating Tweets about Bayonetta 2, Bayonetta producer Hideki Kamiya has been rather quiet. But that could change this year.

In comments regarding his aims for 2012, the producer said he "would like to announce a new game and make a comeback on the game scene and be known as more than just some guy who posts on Twitter," according to Andriasang's translation (via Joystiq).
Kamiya last year appeared to take pleasure in teasing Bayonetta fans with false claims of an imminent sequel announcement, not once but twice.
Fellow Platinum producer Atsushi Inaba had to wade in to set the record straight, warning that Kamiya's Tweets tend to have "jokes" in them "that push the limit".
Fans were probably not laughing.

It's got to be Bayonetta or a Shinobi sequel of some sort! (preferable with Joe Musashi returning)

I sat there nodding, thinking 'okay, that's ages away'. Then it hit me, holy crap, that's this year!
