There are people who want what the Vita offers, I've just never been convinced that there's all that many of them. I don't think Sony should expect the Vita to sell by the bucketload, but it'll probably do alright. Doesn't look great when the Japanese sales are so low already though.

I guess its best to simply summarise it as a Marathon...not a Sprint
When it eventually launches I'll wait for a bit to see whats available/coming soon on the games list to decide if I can really justify one (having a 3DS and a smartphone is already enough to keep me entertained on my travels)

I can't justify having one.

When Japan orientated games come out i.e Tales, Gundam, Yakuza and the sales are still at 50k then Sony will worry. Vita at the moment is geared towards the West hence the ridiculous amount of launch games.

Well, whatever floats yar boat I guess, but that's pretty heavily obsessive J. At the end of the day, it changes nothing for you or I as consumers, and in the run of history it's just numbers for a lump of plastic that'll be forgotten in time. You can do better than that dude, why not put your thought towards something worthy where you could make a difference?

Why are no sites mentioning the shortage of wifi models available in Japan having a massive effect on these numbers??
My mate lives in japan and can't get a wifi vita for love nor money but doesn't want the 3g version which is readily available!

Whilst I sit back, playing on my Xbox 360 and 3DS, I'll be waiting for the Euro price drop. Does anyone know the date?....
