The Last Story Limited Edition bundle revealed

Soundtrack, art and a nice steel box

Square Enix's anticipated Wii RPG, The Last Story, will be released in Europe with a Limited Edition version.

The plumper package will pack the game in a nice steel book case, along with a mini art book and a soundtrack CD with seven tracks from the game, the music for which was composed by famed Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu.

The Last Story's release date is February 24 for both UK and and Europan gamers. An image of the box in this page, but there's currently no word on pricing.

The Last Story is developed by Mistwalker, the studio founded by Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, and AQ Interactive.

It features a strategic real-time battle system that makes use of non-traditional JRPG mechanics such as third-person shooting and cover. It also supports online co-op and competitive modes.

The game has nothing to do with Square-Enix and the bundle was unveiled almost a week ago but it does sound nice.

This should be good, Mistwalker have a pretty good track record.

how wonderful, a collectors edition that contains something collectable and not just some crappy dlc that they removed from the game before sale.

yeah as said this is a Mistwalker title from Hironobu Sakaguchi who left Square Enix(or Squaresoft)after Final Fantasy 9

Mistwalker also did Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey(this Gens best JRPG up to now IMO)for the Xbox 360

This game would be one of very few titles i would consider buying a Wii again for(the other two being Xenoblade and Zelda)

Great, right? Wrong. Just another reason why good/great games as this don't get the chance to be played/shared as videogames ultimately should, "collectors" hoovering them up then either storing them in their lair or putting them up on eBay at inflated prices...yes its a dog eat dog world and don't these vultures just know it! I've owned my Wii since launch and tried to support it by owning an eclectic range of software so will want to experience The Last Story, lets see if I get the chance or people with more money than sense don't just leave the real gamers facing a drought.
