The first screens for the latest Test Drive title have seemingly been revealed by Polish Site Gry Online, along with an apparent confirmation that Shift 2 developer Slightly Mad Studios is heading up the game.

Looking at the shots it's clear that the silky smooth visuals from previous Test Drive games are back and better than ever, offering eye-watering detail on Ferrari models old and new.
For die-hard Ferrari fans, the vintage shots of classic F1 models will surely excite as much as the newest models, and for the uninitiated they provide a look at Ferrari's rich history.
The 'money shot' pictures expected for a Test Drive game are on show, with beautiful sunsets and backgrounds ahoy, the light bouncing off the highly polished models. They also show some HUD details, alongside meticulously designed in-car shots.
Tracks can only be speculated on at this time, if they are indeed going with a track system as opposed to the old open world formula, but there appears to be a wide variety of street tracks and traditional circuits.
One screen shows French advertising boards, so we can at least narrow down one of the tracks to a single country, along with a screen that may or may not show the Nurburgring in Germany.
The site also apparently confirms rumours that former NFS: Shift developer Slightly Mad Studios is heading up the project.
The shift in developer from Eden Games, which handled the last iteration, Test Drive Unlimited 2, was widely expected after 51 out of its 80 employers were let go last June.

Yep, does indeed look like its track based from those screens unless its like the originals where you can drive to a track and then race on it. Not sure if I'm interested. Test Drive Unlimited was an awesome game, Test Drive Unlimited 2 had the potential to be great but was let down by some abysmal design decisions, hacking scumbags and the constant dragging of heels from Eden in issuing a patch to fix those issues. A game just about one marque is not that appealing either as after a while I tend to get bored of driving the same make of car and yearn for something different. Still, I will reserve judgement until there is more information and I'm still hoping that the game does have an open world outside of the tracks shown here, although I must admit its not looking likely at this point.

test drive was s**te... you're thinking nostalgically. likewise, TDU2 which was a joke... especially in this day and age. thank god Eden aren't behind this game.
Slightly Mad's NFS: shift was very good with the right driver aid settings, can't remember mine, but they are mostly off or 'low'. got them noted as i spent ages experimenting to get it right (the game was guff on default settings)
so... this could be great!
also that is my future car in the pic - the scuderia - though mine is in white.

I'm actually looking forward to this, SMS done a great job with shift 2, ended up looking better than gt5 and forza 3 (not played 4) the handling was a bit iffy but it was fun and thats one of the most important things with racing games in my opinion, i doubt this will be like TDU at all.

In what way was Blur wank?
Now that both my kids now have their own gamertags, I went out and bought another 2 copies, just so we could all jump online and play something, that's as close to Mario Kart you're ever going to get, on a system that isn't by Nintendo.
And no developer deserves to go under. Where in the hell does your thinking come from? Not from a person that is supposedly over 30, that's for sure. 13, maybe...

Maybe you thought Tdu was s***e, I certainly didn't and still don't. Tdu 1 was amazing, Tdu 2 on the other hand...
Also, how did you come to the conclusion Blur was w***?

No, I have my own opinion on games, d'ya understanding the lingo?
MY OWN OPINION.
What you consider poor is up to you, but then, I don't like the generic rash of First Person Shooters, so to me the likes of CoD, BF, Halo.... they're all s**t. Like I say, it's my opinion on what I like, not yours, which makes your comment a bit s**t to be honest...
