The Armored Core series will return in March after a five-year hiatus, and From Software has a demo in the works.
The developer has confirmed that a demo version of Armored Core V will go live on January 19, but will only be downloadable until January 23 for both Xbox Live and PSN.
It will feature both offline and online play, but the servers for the latter won'r go online until January 21.
Offline play will let you play tutorial and story missions, as well as create and join teams.
The online offering will serve up 'team area battles', mech creation with over 70 parts, the 'mercenary system' and more.
A local release for the demo is yet to be confirmed, but the smart gamer will have a Japanese accounts primed for such occasions.
Namco Bandai confirmed last week that Armored Core V will hit PS3 and Xbox 360 on March 20 in US and March 23 in Europe.
