Criterion's creative director, Craig Sullivan, has said on Twitter that the Guilford-based studio has "lots to share over the coming months".
Sullivan didn't provide any further details, except to say the upcoming announcement/s are "going to be BIG".
We can't help but indulge in the idea of a brand new Burnout title, although a new Need for Speed announcement is probably more likely, given that retailer GAME said earlier this month that publisher EA's planning to release a new series entry in 2012.
Last August, a Criterion job advert indicated that it was working on new open-world racer. Its most recent game, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, was a linear affair, but Criterion's previous title, Burnout Paradise, showed the studio had what it takes to put together a solid open-world racer.
