Activision has released a new Call of Duty Elite trailer to coincide with today's release of the first Modern Warfare 3 DLC.
Xbox Live playing premium CoD Elite members will get access to two new Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer maps today. Non-premium Elite members and PC and PS3 players will have to wait for further word on their release dates.
Activision recently confirmed that Elite will deliver monthly DLC for premium members, with at least "20 content drops" over the next nine months, including new maps, Spec Ops missions and game modes.

wtf. have just realized, that even though i've paid for elite, because i'm on PS3 i've STILL got to wait longer. what's the bastard point of Elite and its 'Early' content then ffs? so because i'm on PS3, being Elite means nothing, everyone else on PS3 will get the map at the same time as me.
Activision, believe me, it's hurting nobody but yourselves. that'll be me not renewing Elite at the end of the year! heck, if it's "Black Ops 2" i wont even be buying COD this year! (shock, horror)

All you know is that you'll get it after XBox Elite Premium and possibly all XBox owners. If non-premium XBox owners get it before PS3 Premium subscribers, that sucks big time
But you shouldn't be surprised - COD has favoured XBox for a long time

I have Elite premium and the mediocre two maps are not on the Xbox live store. I also think it's disgusting and an outrage that the PS3 elite members don't get the maps early either.

At the end of the day, it is Sony that is letting PS3 owners down if waiting longer for COD content to drop is an issue for anyone, or rather its M$ vision that made it happen
PS3 was supposed to be the lead console for BF3, which would turn the tables, with 1943 being included in the LE and DLC coming early. Shame DICE decided not to include 1943 after all and (I think) the DLC came out a couple of days early
It's business and companies will do what they can to get an advantage - if you want COD content early, get an XBox

Xbox get it first then non subs, then PS3 get it then PS3 non subs, then PC lagging in last because they don't care about the PC gamers. 360 just has a head start, same as it's ALWAYS been for COD. Don't like it? Then buy a 360, MW3 and an Elite sub and get them a few weeks early, what's the big rush in wanting to play the maps, it's COD, you know how they'll play.

Microsoft did a deal (I think $50m) with Activision to get that exclusivity!! It is why xbox gets the content FIRST!!! I expect PS3 and PC Elite Subscribers will get their content before xbox non-elite subscribers get theirs. Just because you subscribed to Elite as a PS3 owner does not mean that you should get it at the same time because this deal takes priority - it was the same with Black ops for that reason. PS3 owners get BF3 content first for the same reasons too. PS3 Subscribers will get their content early compared to non-subscribers and they will get the same content as xbox subscribers. They will also get all 20+ content drops at no extra cost just like xbox!!!
As far as I know, there will be 1 map next month and 2 the following month and all 5 will be bundled for Non-elite subscribers to buy after that.

You download them from the multi-player store menu - if you have a subscription! They are not o the marketplace. The marketplace will have the bundle for non-elite subscribers in March/April time and will comprise of the first 2-3 months worth of content drops.
PS3 & PC Elite members will get the content drops earlier than non-elite subscribers and they will get ALL the same content as xbox owners. Microsoft did a deal to get that exclusivity although I don't know when they will get theirs - Maybe a week or fortnight later?? Either way they will still get it ALL and earlier than non-elite subscribers at NO extra cost!!!
