Xbox 360 Schedule only!
Activisions disregard of customers on other platforms is quite unforgivable.

I think signing up to Elite and paying them a subscription for DLC is 'unforgivable'. Anyone that signed up cant complain because they have already made Activision's empire grow, so they can take the p*ss out of gamers even more.

OMG, the evil Acti again, get over it EA are 100 times worse, just check theme park mobile app ffs!
The deal is good for hardcore COD players, whilst I dont like it, its hardly as unforgivable as paying to unlock disc content *cough EA*!
Those that play on and off like me, can assess the maps after elite players have reviewed them and pay by choice.
And PSN is still quite shoddy online IMO, I have all consoles before you claim fanboy!
The only thing I dont like is keeping the non elite in the dark, well and the elite subs, as for all they and we know, the exlusvity might only be 1 day which is then quite shoddy.

I love COD and I play MW3, but as it is, I've played it to death now and prestiged two times. So I will move on to other games and can gladly wait for new maps etc. Maybe I will enjoy MW3 again later.
Elite is b*****ks. I haven't signed any Elite contracts, and never will. It's rubbish. I'm a PS3ee by the way.

I am a little disappointed by this list.
Only 12 maps in total - I hope they are ALL new and not remakes as I can play those on previous COD's
6 Spec Ops - I would have preferred 4 MAXIMUM!!! and more maps instead!!
2 game modes - wtf!!!! Since when does a game mode become a content drop!!!! (unless that means an addition to the SP and not a MP) Its not like we haven't had the additional 'Drop Zone' - why can't they add more and not call it a 'content drop'
No mention of additional weapons, camos, custom sight options even though Robert Bowling said it is possible to do on MachinaRespawn yesterday!!
Only 1 Map next month and that's it - I expected at least 2 every month. I hope they have released this list to get some feedback and readjust it accordingly!!!

Gotta agree mate, maps is where it is at, Spec ops and gamemodes are distinctly secondary. Of the two just released Piazza is awesome, intricate and tight, the other though is a bit 'meh' for me and feels like a re-skinned 'Wasteland' from MW2.
Oh and Activision you are soooo evil, offering additional paid for content for a game, whatever next................ boring change the record!

To be honest I think both Maps are Excellent and the quite possibly the best 2 Maps in the game.
Liberation does have a few similarities to Wasteland but it is also so different too. for a start it isn't quite so bland. It has so many different aspects to it and still remains quite open in - a completely different feel to it than Piazza.
I don't mind a few spec-ops content drops - not that I am interested really but there is quite a lot of those anyway. Maps are by far the MOST important and they can be used in Spec-ops survival too. I would imagine that most people play CoD for the Multi-player though. I wouldn't buy DLC for any CoD if it was Spec-ops based!!!!! but would buy additional Maps. I thought Activision might have learned from there mistake. MW2 maps were not worth the money as the only offered a few NEW maps also Black-ops Zombie only DLC was a total rip off too as it added only 1 new zombie only content (the rest was all W@W zombie maps) and NO NEW MP Maps!!!
I would have been more excited and happy if all 20 were MAPS!!!!

Have they even disclosed when PS3 Elite subscribers will get the maps released for XBox Elite yesterday?
I saw a rumour somewhere that they would get them next week, but nothing official. I don't think they'll disclose a schedule like this until the first drop has happened
As for yesterday's maps? It's nice to have new ones to play on, but they're not so great that I voted for either of them every time - playing two maps continuously gets boring real quick. Piazza is an intricate web of alleys and stairs and can be fun, whereas I was surprised that Liberation wasn't as populated with camper/snipers as I expected. Yes there are sight-lines but like all the MW3 maps, there are so many entry points to every location that nowhere feels secure enough to put up a tent. I found most of the action took place around the entrance to the tunnel
Certainly didn't see any LMG campers as the pre-release blurb would have you believe and in maybe a dozen games, I only heard a minigun fire up once
I'm interested in the idea of campaign extensions or however they've been described and I think these are a good idea instead of just more and more maps. New weapons etc would be nice, but I can also imagine the uproar if one of the future content drops was a remake of an MW2 map and a couple of new rifles
People crying over Acti's greed is nearly as boring as the whole BF3>MW3>BF3 argument. It's entirely up to people how they spend their money. If you don't agree with a particular company's strategy, don't buy their products - simple

Going by this, we'll probably get map packs in April, July and October.

If this list does end up being true and some of the 12 Maps are remakes the I definitely will not be renewing my Elite subscription and judging by many comments on this and other sites I doubt I will be the only one!!!
Not only do the content drops appear to be something I DON'T WANT - nearly half of them (maybe more if there are remakes) the clan operations haven't started yet either!!! No real benefit to being a subscriber so far (other than getting a couple of maps early)
FixBeatGames on 26 Jan '12 said:
yeah, which you don't get early if you bought elite for ps3. standard players on xbox have it 4 weeks before premium ps3 users. well played, activision
bamozzy on 26 Jan '12 said:
You will still get it earlier than PS3 Non-subscribers though and for FREE, i.e. you won't need to pay again. Also you will get it before non-subscribers on Xbox too as they won't have access to these until March.
It is not CoD's developers fault that Microsoft paid ($50m) Activision for that exclusivity - Sony did a deal with EA for BF3 DLC. As no date has yet been determined, how do you know that you will have to wait 4 weeks? It may be 1, 2 or even 3 weeks. Either way you will still get it ALL. Personally I blame Activision themselves for p**sing off PS3 owners by NOT communicating and informing them of WHEN they will get their DLC. It really isn't fair to keep them from this information. The deal however has been in place for a number of years and these deals (and ones like this) are in place so we have to just accept them. I own both consoles and often this governs what games I buy and on which console. I bought BF3 on PS3 because I got Battlefield 1943 FREE rather than on xbox who got NOTHING.

And this is exactly the reason why you don't hand over £35 for 'some DLC in the future' without knowing what you're actually paying for. Such a shame that Activision would rip everyone off so bad like this, no doubt it'll come back to bite them on the arse in the long run.
I seriously pray that Elite dies asap. All it has done is removed features out of Black Ops into a seperate app and mugged people for future content.
