Aliens: Colonial Marines has been delayed from a spring release to a tentative autumn 2012 one, Gearbox has confirmed to CVG.

"Aliens: Colonial Marines is a process of creativity and invention and those don't necessarily follow the structure of an assembly line," said a Gearbox rep.
"While setting clear goals, deadlines and predictions is helpful, they are often subjective. We don't want to sacrifice the creative process just for the sake of following a blue print. We prefer to have the creative discovery shape that blue print because our goal is to make a great game, and we are prioritizing this goal over the previously targeted date."
The rep made no mention of the revised date, which now sits at 'autumn' on the official site.

I hope this doesn't affect Borderlands 2.
How big are Gearbox anyway? They're working on at least three games right now (Aliens, Borderlands & Brothers In Arms), do they have a few studios like Rockstar?

They are also doing a sequel to Duke,as well as a game for the PS3,PC and 360 called 'Heat'(according to Wiki)
not sure if they have any other studios outside of Texas though on their site they have the talent Bios of some 163 people, but i couldn't tell you if that was all of their team

as long as it's well optimized, plays similarly to L4D2.. it has to if it wants to be quality and a survival title.

I'm slightly glad its delayed because I'm still on Akham City, Skyrim, Uncharted3, Dead island, Dark Souls, Battlefield3, The run and a fistful of other titles that were squeezed into the last months of 2011 schedule. with Mass effect 3 and Silent hill and I am alive due around the same time, i think i'd be hard pressed to buy another game on release when most of us have plenty to still play until the price goes down.

What the statement should read; `We find little point releasing a wii u version of our game 6 months or so after its been out on other formats. We think that nobody will by our game for wii u because its too hard to get excited about what shall be an old game. So we are pushing back 360/ps3 versions so all customers can have access to our game at the same time.'
Why can't they just be honest?
