If EA has its way, the days of Virtua Tennis as everyone's favorite tennis sim could be numbered because Grand Slam Tennis 2 is looking great.

And below that is a dev diary featuring producer Thomas Singleton talking about the game's seemingly impressive new AI, which will give each tennis star their typical personality traits, play styles and techniques.
The game's out on February 14.

It's like they've learnt nothing from the games released between their two games. It reacts slow the timing is off and the movement is awful, especially when you consider EA are usually heads and shoulders above everyone for motion capture in sports titles.

Played the demo at length and have to say that I am really liking it.Virtua Tennis had better watch out because this version of Grand Slam is the best tennis game I have played for a long time.

Played the demo and its awful.
Sluggish and little response, which even for a demo should have been sorted by now. The last Top Spin drops a pile on this from a great height...

The original on Wii was excellent. It's a shame they couldn't have just updated that game, on Wii, and called it a day rather than wasting their time putting out a sub-standard PS3/360 game.
