BioShock 2 dev working on new IP

XCOM shooter studio has second project

Along with treading on eggshells in developing a first-person shooter adaptation of XCOM, 2K Marin is creating a second title based on a fresh new intellectual property.

That's according to the resume of the 2K Marin's Hogarth de la Plante, which lists the mysterious unannounced title alongside XCOM.

According to his resume, De la Plante is "Art Director on a 5-person director team responsible for defining a new IP for 2K Games based out of the 2K Marin development studio". He goes on to take responsibility for "pitching it to publishing and generating pre-production creative materials" with the director team.

He has also contributed significantly to the development of Irrational's seminal BioShock and 2K Marin's follow-up sequel.

The studio's XCOM shooter has reportedly been delayed until 2013. Take-Two has opted to relaunch the franchise this year with the Firaxis developed strategy game XCOM: Enemy Unknown instead.
