Ace Attorney 5 in development, classics go HD

Any objections?

To celebrate the Ace Attorney franchise's 10th anniversary, Capcom has officially revealed a fifth entry in the series is in the works.

Gyakuten Saiban 5 was confirmed over the weekend at an official event and while Capcom didn't confirm what platforms it will be available for, given the series' Nintendo leanings the 3DS is the safe bet.

Along with announcement came news that Ace Attorney, Justice for All, and Trials and Tribulations - the first three titles in the mega-popular series - will be getting the HD treatment for an eventual iOS and Android release.

According to reports each game in the series will be priced at 600 Yen ($7.80), or the entire trilogy can be purchased for 1,200 Yen ($15.60). Given how rare the earlier Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS titles are that's a pretty reasonable deal.

Phoenix Wright is set to join forces with Professor Layton in a new Nintendo 3DS title developed by Level 5.
