Sega doesn't talk nearly enough about Phantasy Star Online 2, so it's mighty exciting when a couple of nice lengthy gameplay videos show up out of nowhere.

The game will reportedly feature 12-player online play, with players forming parties of four. Third-person action sequences are said to mix in jumping and shooty setpieces with a new combo system for more hands-on combat.
Who's excited for this one?

Can't wait for it.
Been a huge fan since PSO on Dreamcast where i used to rack up my phone bill. First true game to show online gaming on consoles can work.

They need to release this on Xbox 360 with local split-screen multiplayer like the GC/Xbox version of PSO, so I can play it with the mrs. That would then be super awesome.

Not bad, but I'll be more excited when they announce a western release for this.

Love me some phantasy star online, just recently beat the first PSP adventure and now working my way through the second one. This game is so simple yet it's fun to continually try to find the rare weapons and armors, create tools. I wonder which engine did they use for fighting? The last PS game had a very good fighting engine that allowed you to block on your own and evade as well. Come on Sega, and don't you dare force us to pay a sub to play this online either, might as well shoot it before it even gets started. DC Universe has a good thing with their 3 level layout, free, premium and legendary. PSO better come with some sense in the money department, buying a game for $60, then having to pay monthly to play it is utter garbage, what the hell did i purchase then?
