Bethesda has sent over a new Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim trailer showing off the upcoming Creation Kit.

Originally scheduled for release last month, the content creation tool will allow users to upload, download and install their mods. It'll be "available soon" as a free download via Steam.

"We can't wait to see what you do with the creation kit!" You know this is just going to unleash sex and tentacle mods on Skyrim right?
So "We can't wait to see how you'll deface, pervert, degrade and violate our game!" would be more realistic
Can't wait for the kit though, some real potential. That Steam thingy looks cool, Nexus integration would've been smart though.

You've got to be ignorant to say the Nexus will disappear when this comes out. The Nexus is known to be one of the best modding communities around TO DATE, and is known to hold the most perverted and bizarre mods of all time.
The Nexus WON'T be going anywhere, especially when top modders have said they've refused to conform to Steam's module database.

I wish more studios would offer this kind of support for their games. Bethesda games are good enough, but it's the modding tools they provide (and the skill and imagination of the modding community) that make them great. My Skyrim already looks and plays 100 times better than it did thanks to new new textures, interface and gameplay tweaks - and that's without the official tools even being available yet.

Oh great, so ALL the bugs have been stamped out now if they've got time to release this? Brilliant.

I won't be using the steam Workshop as there doesn't seem like there is a way to change load orders, so how would you stop mods clashing with each other?

I wish I'd bought this on PC now
I love it on my xbox, but am pretty envious of the amount of mods will be coming along for this.

My concern is this - if it auto-updates, what happens when someone releases a patch that does damage? At least on the Nexus people note it immediately and you can decide not to update while you wait for repairs.
