Remedy has slapped a February 16 launch date on the on then off then on again PC version of Alan Wake.

It'll include DLC add-ons The Signal and The Writer, as detailed in this recent Q&A.
The game will hit Steam first, priced at $29.99 and $34.99 (LCE), followed by its arrival on other digital channels, including Origin. A boxed retail version's also due "soon".
Remedy chief technology officer Markus Mäki said: "We've done our best to do justice to the PC version and do things the way they should be done for PC. The PC version looks absolutely beautiful. We're bringing the game to life in a whole new way.
"With our history of PC titles, such as Max Payne, Max Payne 2 and Death Rally, Remedy has always wanted to bring a PC version of Alan Wake to the gamers' fingertips. Now we can!"
PC Alan Wake features include:
- Experience Alan Wake's Pacific Northwest in higher resolutions and higher fidelity than ever before
- Fully configurable mouse and keyboard support (or if you prefer to play with the Microsoft gamepad connected to your PC, you can do that too!)
- A wide selection of customizable graphics settings and support for 4:3, 16:9 and 16:10 aspect ratios
- Multithreaded engine that takes advantage of quad core CPUs
- Additional features our fans have sought after, such as field of view adjustment as well as "hide HUD".
- Works with AMD Eyefinity 3D 3-screen mode
- Works with NVIDIA NVISION2 Stereoscopic 3D

Alan Wake is coming home and I can only hope it will bring new fans into the nightmare. I can't wait to play through it again with better visuals and hopefully a few new little Easter eggs.

Day 1 buy, hands down. Thanks so much Remedy
!
Also, yes it's brilliant, one of the best games this gen, and one of the most visually stunning.

Thank you remedy for bring this to the PC, especially for doing it without Microsoft and the God awful GFWL.
One question, is it a 'play in darkness only' game? If so I may just leave it until the end of this year as i already have a backlog that's several months deep.

Console Port
.

Well it was a console game so um ... what in the f**k where you expecting? Unmake the game, remove it from history, then make it on PC?

T'was developed on pc first them microshaft bought the rights and canned it for exclusive rights
.
I guess if your one of the mindless suckers who likes dumbed down console ports its right up your street then.

Firstly, I'm aware there was originally a PC version, and was p**sed when it was stopped.
Also, how is this "dumbed down"? Havn't they already said it's DirectX 11 friendly? At the very least it'll be running at whatever resolution you want and you can force effects with Nvidia control panel and the likes so how again is it "dumbed down"?
