If you're keen to try out Mass Effect 3's new multiplayer modes in the upcoming demo but don't have XBL Gold membership, don't fret - BioWare has you covered.

"In celebration of ME3, Xbox is pleased to provide fans access to ME3 demo multiplayer for the time leading to launch," said MS. "Xbox LIVE Gold gives you exclusive benefits including multiplayer gaming, member-only deals & previews, and access to entertainment with Netflix, ESPN, Hulu Plus and more."
It'll only be temporary - the duration went unspecified - but you'd do well to make full use of your premium status while it lasts.

you'll also find that people who download the demo, will be playing single player, not multiplayer.

Maybe but then I will be wanting to play the multi-player to avoid any 'spoilers' from the main game. I want to see what the multi-player is like as I was one of the many fans of the series who wondered why they decided to add it. So I will be trying to resist the single player portion of the demo and playing the multi-player to see if BioWare will prove me wrong.

An attempt to swing the pendulum away from the PS3 bias that morons claim exists?
