EA Populous, Respawn games due in FY2013 - Rumour

EA is planning to release a new Populous title along with games from Insomniac and Respawn Entrainment in financial year 2013, which spans April 1 2013 to the March 31 2014.

That's according to a supposed EA Partners Wiki page uncovered by a NeoGAF reader.

Although the page is protected with a password, the internet sleuth claims to have found references to The Secret World; Overstrike; Populous; Outernauts and Respawn.

The Secret World, the MMO developed by Funcom, and Overstrike, Insomniac's shooter, are somewhat known quantities. EA has previously indicated that both are scheduled for release sometime between April and March.

'Populous' is obviously a reference to the classic Peter Molenyuex created, Bullfrog developed god sim series. Considering EA has returned to the Syndicate franchise, a new Populous isn't entirely out of the realm of possibility.

The second title, 'Outernauts', has been traced back to Insomniac Games through a domain registration. The studio signed a publishing deal with EAP in 2010, ending a lengthy period of developing Sony exclusives to work on Overstrike, a mulitplatform shooter.

Obviously, 'Respawn' is the title being put together by ex-Infinity War bosses Jason West and Vince Zampella.

Although it's difficult to verify whether this page is legitimate or not the NeoGAF poster notes it was created by 'pmarineau', which could be EA's director or marketing Phil Marineau.
