Cave's latest awesome iOS shooter, Dodonpachi Blissful Death, will be out on February 9, is has confirmed.
You may have have heard of Dodonpachi Blissful Death under its original title, Dodonpachi Dai Ou Jou, which hit Japanese arcades in 2002 and PS2 in 2003.
These games work perfectly on the iOS touch screen, with ship movement that follows your finger around the screen with great precision. And you don't have to place your finger on the ship - anywhere will do, meaning you won't block your view of the bullet swarms.
Cave has also confirmed pricing: $4.99 in US and Canada, £2.99 in UK, and €3.99 in EU.
Be aware that all that bullet hell requires some decent processing power - you'll need to be running a fairly recent iDevice (nothing older than iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4th gen and iPad 2), on firmware 4.3 or later to play smoothly.
