Bethesda's Pete Hines has confirmed that the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Creation Kit is "on track" for release this coming Tuesday, but there's more.

"For our Skyrim PC fans, the Creation Kit is on track for release on Tuesday. And, we also have a special surprise with it," he said via Twitter (thanks Joystiq).
The content creation tool will allow users to upload, download and install mods they've created.
The developer this week released a developer diary featuring production director Ashley Cheng highlighting some of the new features that'll be available to the modding community through the Skyrim Workshop on Steam.

As much as I want to play Skyrim (I've got way too many games to keep me going anyway), think I'll wait for the Complete Edition.

The same way it was 'On Track' for a January release? I doubt it'll be out on Tuesday.

Maybe, just maybe, the code optimisations that have been introduced in Skyrim (as PC patch 1.4 users report) that make the game run buttery smooth are going to be introduced as patches to Fallout 3 and New Vegas.
Any thoughts?
