Spec Ops The Line: Latest screens look promising

What happens in Dubai, stays in Dubai

2K has released a batch of new screens showing Spec Ops: The Line, the missing-in-action shooter which finally pulled its head out of the sand late last year.

First announced in 2009 and described as "a provocative and gripping third-person modern military shooter," the Yager-developed title's now turned up looking very much like a horror game.

CVG foot soldier Nick Cowen took an updated look at The Line - you can read all of his thoughts in our Spec Ops: The Line preview - and described it as "garish, grisly and disturbing," adding that the shooter "looks set to carve out a rather dark niche in an overcrowded field."

The game was originally supposed to arrive last year, as 2010's Spec Ops: The Line E3 trailer shows, but it's now on track for release in Spring 2012.

Describing this as a grim or gritty survival title would be more apt than a horror one me thinks, the screenshots look nice however.
