Here's the first of what will seemingly be a series of developer diary videos for Alan Wake's American Nightmare.

The video kicks off talking about the new fight mechanics and how the core concept of the game came to be, mixed in with gameplay footage and all presented in an awkward, 'scripted-but-let's-pretend-it's-not' sort of way.

Alan Wake's American Nightmare will be released as part of Microsoft's upcoming Xbox Live House Party season, which begins on February 15.
