David Jaffe, co-creator of the Twisted Metal, has confirmed the PlayStation 3 entry in the series will be available in Europe from March 7.

As for the cuts, Jaffe said that SCEE requested that the game's more extreme violence be toned down a little. Fortunately none of the cuts impact the story or core gameplay.
The new release date comes via Jaffe's official Twitter feed.
The Twisted Metal playable demo released on PSN last week.

What were peoples general feelings towards the demo?
I have given it some time, and just can't see myself shelling out top dollar for it, yes it's twisted metal, but its not pulling me in like in the good old days?

I was not gonna even bother with it until i played the demo, ok i may not buy it day 1 and therefore will probably not be paying top dollar for it but i'll defo be picking it up at some point (obviously brand new due to the PSN Pass being forced upon it).

So wait... they're not only butchering the PAL version of the game and delaying it until March, but they're also releasing it two days before Mass Effect 3 & Asura's Wrath, well they can **** off, I'll be playing ME 3 to death either on the same day or day after and then I'll be playing Asura's Wrath as soon as I've finished with ME 3. *Cancels TM Pre-order*
It was bad enough they had to butcher the PAL version of TM Black due to 9/11 (I had the US version and they took the plane crashing into the map out of the PAL release, but that's not the point), now they're butchering this one too, looks like I'll have to import it then, good move Sony, good move.
The US version comes out on Valentines Day (nothing decent was out that week anyway, unless it's the Jak & Daxter HD Collection but that's not a major title to compete with TM, unlike ME 3) and we have to wait just under a month for a butchered version? **** you, were we even getting the free download of TM Black HD with it aswell?

The demo wasn't overly spectacular and I found it to be quite hard but it's Twisted Metal and I enjoyed the others (except for the butchered PAL version of Black), I was going to buy it day one but not anymore.
Instead I may just import the US version (depending how much it'll cost me to import it and how long it'll take to arrive), or forget about it alltogether, all I know is Sony has lost a customer for the PAL release.
There's too many games due by the time it's out here anyway like Jak & Daxter HD Collection, Last Story, Binary Domain, ME 3, Asura's Wrath (possibly a few more which I might've forgotten), plus this weeks releases like Darkness II, Kingdoms of Amalur and Catherine.
March is pretty busy already without adding the butchered PAL release of TM to it.
