Alan Wake's American Nightmare gets fresh screenshots

Release date incoming, so here's a fresh look at Wake's US outing

With Alan Wake's American Nightmare due for imminent release this month, a fresh set of screenshots have emerged to give you a fresh look at the troubled writer's latest adventure.

Not much more to add to that really, apart from the fact that Alan Wake's American Nightmare will feature in the Xbox Live House Party promotion and although the game is only expected to last 4-5 hours, much will apparently depend on how long you choose to explore the game's optional content away from the main storyline.

Developers Remedy said in a recent developer diary that Alan Wake's American Nightmare is "a pulp action adventure, an epic fight between the forces of light and darkness, and it's kind of a stand alone spin-off experience, which has a twisted story and hardcore, cinematic action"

We're sure fans of Al will find that no problem at all and from the look of these screens there should be plenty to enjoy.

It's looking great, can't wait for it to drop. Why'd they have to include spiders though?! Games creepy enough!

Whaaa?! This is out THIS month?! I thought this wouldn't be ready for a good while yet.

Nice one, Kingdoms of Amalur, Mass Effect 3 and this all around the same time eh? Not bad for the start of the year.

AW has a a lot more horror than any recent (or upcoming) Resident Evil or Silent Hill.

Remedy's Sam Lake wants us to understand that Alan Wake isn't a horror game. Alan Wake is "a psychological action thriller that contains elements of horror".
