SSX tracklist includes Run-DMC, DJ Shadow

EA Sports has revealed the track listing which will power SSX, next month's much anticipated big mountain snowboard fest.

The track list includes 36 songs and 10 specially composed original tracks which will accompany the game's Deadly Descents feature.

With the classic soundtrack to SSX Tricky setting the bar for the series, these tracks have got a lot to live up to, but with songs from The Qemists, Camo & Krooked, Raffertie, and Amon Tobin now available for download as part of the SSX soundtrack on iTunes, you'll be able to judge for yourself just how good they are.

Steve Schnur, EA's worldwide exec of music said: "SSX has always been one of EA's most music intensive, genre diverse and sonically adventurous titles."

"The songs on this new soundtrack cover ground from indie rock, dub step, hip-hop, drum + bass and beyond. As fans of the ultimate snowboarding franchise have come to expect, our artists range from top cutting-edge stars to tomorrow's hottest underground acts. Ultimately, it's a soundtrack full of next-level music that is totally ripe for discovery."

Players are still able to upload their own play lists to SSX and create custom soundtracks if these don't appeal (probably even the original SSX Tricky one if you're so inclined), but there is a cheeky Pretty Lights Remix of It's Tricky (SSX) by Run DMC in there, so hope springs eternal.
