Kadokawa Games, the Japanese publisher of Suda51's Lollipop Chainsaw, has confirmed the game will see its Japanese release in May.
If you missed the original announcement last year, here's the breakdown: Lollipop Chainsaw is described as "a piece of 'pop' zombie entertainment" that stars a scantily clad cheerleader in a US high school chopping zombies to pieces using a chainsaw. Sold.
"Actually I've wanted to do a crazy horror-action game like this set in a school for a while now," Suda said last year. "Something where the classrooms, corridors, gymnasium and so on are suddenly transformed into something completely different."
According to Famitsu the game's Premium Edition will allow players to switch between Japanese and English voiceovers and adjust the level of gore.
Grasshopper's secured Warner Bros. Interactive as the overseas publisher for Lollipop Chainsaw.
