New Last of Us screenshots have appeared online, via infamous leak site AllGamesBeta.
The Last of Us is said to be inspired by "Ruin Porn", a type of photography centred around capturing images of ruins that have been overgrown by nature.
In terms of combat it looks like the game will be melee heavy, with objects such as bricks and planks of wood used to fight off enemies - although guns will definitely be available.

That really is a smashing beard.
It's not quite up there with Barry Burton, but it's easily a match for the ones Solid Snake and Chuck Norris have.
If Chuck has a problem with that then I suppose we'll be fighting!

Aye it may be a match for Solid Snakes beard but its nowhere near his dad's (Naked Snake) bushy face warmer. MGS3 HD really highlights the beard and it's looking like only Max Payne's will be able to come close to touching it, though not in a sexual way.

Its supposed to be some sort of fungal infection like cordyceps thats taken over and at the early stages of infection humans still look normal. Though if you look at picture 1 the guy at the front seems to have some sort of markings around his eye and the guy at the back has what looks like a rash on his arms, maybe these are signs of infection.

They announce these game too early. We have to wait an average 1yr+ from announment to release, which is all fine and dandy, but (and the same thing happened with battlefield 3 for me last year) by the time we've had a whole year of drip feed info - When the product finally releases it all feels a bit meh.
At the moment; news on the last of us is quite exciting, after a year, how many of us will still be as bothered with it? And how many of us will be even more excited about something else just announced at that time.

I have a bad feeling that the game won't provide the open world and heavily overrun Pittsburg i dream of and instead will provide me with a fairly linear (but still brilliant) story based experience. Only for me to complete the game and realise there wasnt much 'survival' at all.
