Sega has unveiled the rather slick-looking box art for Aliens: Colonial Marines.

According to Sega:
Aliens: Colonial Marines will bring new levels of bone-chilling suspense and adrenaline-filled action to the renowned franchise.
The game pits players against the universe's ultimate alien killing machines, the Xenomorphs, in claustrophobic environments guaranteed to produce blood curdling thrills that the movie is renowned for.
Aliens: Colonial Marines begins with an ostensibly abandoned ship, the U.S.S. Sulaco, recovered in orbit around LV-426. Players lead a group of highly trained United States Colonial Marines as they board the deserted craft to uncover the fate of the crew. They will have to fight to survive unspeakable horrors and their own anxieties as they chase down the truth behind a galaxy-spanning deception that places humanity at the mercy of the most murderous and deadly species in the universe. Aliens: Colonial Marines features authentic environments, such as the surface of LV-426 and Hadley's Hope, weapons inspired by the film series and is designed to provide an exhilarating and engaging new chapter in the Aliens universe.

Nice looking front cover, but will the special edition have this?
And to keep the Aliens quotes coming,
"Hey Vasquez, have you ever been mistaken for a man?"

The white background seems mostly inappropriate. Mostly.

She was also in Titanic, another James Cameron film
I didn't know that until i was watching a James Cameron interview and they were talking about the links between Aliens and the Terminator franchise and that Cameron employs a lot of the same actors.
Lance Henrikson, Bill Paxton, Micheal Biehn and Ms Goldstein have all appeared in both the franchises.
Oh aye and see that drool on the box cover it "Looks like some sort of secreted resin".

From what i've read there are lots of sections in the game where you have to defend an enclosed area, ie 'horde mode', to cater for the co-op, hardly in keeping with an atmospheric single player game, god i hate horde mode, it's just an easy way out for developers, basically we are the AI, please, please tell me i'm wrong.
Man it's hot in here,....yeah but it's a dry heat.

It all depends where they are taking their main influence from. If it was the first film then I'd expect a more atmospheric, spooky/scary single player game, but the fact that its called "Aliens (not Alien): Colonial Marines" clearly signifies that its taking its main influence from the 2nd film, which had a much more defend/survive based plot, with the marines doing their best to just defend their the limited secure space they have and escape, whilst fighting off endless hordes of aliens.

Looks quite stylish to me- though a black background would of been better methinks.

I remember when a single alien was enough to take out a whole crew. Pfft, this looks so unrealistic.
