Tekken 3D Prime Edition's online multiplayer modes will only be playable in 2D mode, Nintendo has confirmed.

"What we were most particular about in terms of technology was, 'We have to retain 60 frames per second (FPS) at all costs.' If someone says, 'It lags when it's made 3D,' then you get the impression that that's the kind of game Tekken is, so right from the beginning that was a condition that I wasn't willing to budge on," said Harada.
And budge he did not - even at the expense of the console's staple feature as Nintendo goes on to note: "In Tekken 3D: Prime Edition, the game supports 60 frames per second during wireless play, but stereoscopic 3D display is not supported."
Single-player, it seems, will boast 60fps in both 2D and 3D modes, which is nice. By comparison, both Super Street Fighter IV 3D and Dead or Alive: Dimensions flick down to 30fps in 3D mode.

Before anyone starts having a go at 3DS or having a go at Vita or whatever...
Shut your face or I will come to your house and pound you so hard into the ground, the next time you see light you'll be looking up some Aussie's skirt.
Alright?

I can't see why there is no 3D for online as ResiEvilRev pulls off lag free online with 3D on no problems.
