Diablo 3 release date inbound

Huge changes made following recent closed beta

Blizzard has committed to a release window for Diablo 3 - "targeting" a Q2 2012 release for the long-awaited title.

This was just confirmed during Blizzard's fourth quarter and calendar year 2011 earnings call, after months of stubborn silence surrounding the game's release.

This window pins Diablo 3's release for any time from April to June.

The publisher also significant changes made to the game since the beta. "After receiving feedback from the community and our internal teams, we've implemented changes to the game which we believe will greatly improve the game experience and ensure that the final release will live up to our high expectations," said the publisher during the call.

Blizzard's community manager Micah Whiple, aka Bashiok, was recently forced to dismiss retailer listings that suggested Diablo 3 will be released this month.

    If it's going to be Q2 then I think the back end of June, but this is Blizzard so maybe Q4 would be a more realistic release date.

    With beta patch 13 being such a major patch this could be the last big patch we see in the beta before the release. Blizzard have previously stated it will be released in "early 2012" so i would say that they will announce the release date sometime in April for a June release, Check out http://diablo-3-news.org/ for more info

    maybe if they hadnt announced D3 in 2008 then it wouldnt have felt like such an epic wait. Considering that blizzard wont announce a release date until it is set in stone then maybe the game announcement in the first place should have come later.

    Blizzard has yet to dissapoint me with a new game. Pitty the same can't always be said about expansions, but for D3 I have no fear.

    They announced it so early , showed gameplay and it was look like its ready , but the whole project is moving slowely. nuff said blizzard is blizzard. still trying to get in to beta. cvg gimme a key :lol:
