Activision has confirmed some impressive numbers for Call of Duty Elite.
Speaking during an earnings call today, the firm revealed that the service has 7 million registered users, with 1.5 million of them having paid for the Premium subscription.
The service, which launched on November 8 last year, is "already one of the fastest-growing and largest online services ever", says the publisher, and its seven million users makes it the "third largest interactive subscription service behind World of Warcraft and Xbox Live, both of which have been around for many years", it added.
"We plant keep our foot on the gas with Call of Duty Elite," said Activision, promising "additional features in the next 60 days".
Activision also announced today plans to launch a new 'Call of Duty Elite 2.0' service with "innovative new features" built to work in conjunction with this year's new Call of Duty game.
