Namco picks up new Star Trek game

Namco Bandai has taken on publishing duties for next year's new Star Trek game.

Namco will be co-publishing and distributing the title in cahoots with Paramount Digital Entertainment in Q1 2013 - just before the expected May 2013 release of the next Star Trek movie.

Set for release on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, Star Trek promise an original story and an "unprecedented co-op experience" that casts players as Kirk and Spock, who must work together to stop a legendary enemy race bent on conquering the galaxy.

Developed by Digital Extremes, the game was revealed with a trailer at E3 last year, but is still without a subtitle.
