Five Vita games you can pre-download now

Be more than ready for the big launch

If you're rocking in your seat in excitement for Vita's launch, you might want to be prepared with some game to play on it.

NeoGAF posters have discovered that at least five Vita games are already available for download via the US PSN - including Uncharted and WipEout.

While not visible via the normal menus, slapping in a search for them will reveal the goods, and you can purchase and download them now, ready for the arrival of your shiny console later this month.

Better still, if you already have a Japanese Vita and are waiting for English-language games, you can download the Vita titles to your PS3 and transfer them via USB cable to your console. The US downloads are thankfully fully playable on Japanese units.

Here are the game found and their prices (which includes a currently available 10 percent discount):

Uncharted (3.2 GB) $45 ($50 MSRP)

Hot Shots (1.15 GB) $36 ($40 MSRP)

WipEout 2048 (1.6GB) $36 ($40 MSRP)

Super Stardust Delta (208 MB) $10 - PSN title

Modnation Racers Road trip (1.5 GB) $27 ($30 MSRP)

I wonder if ps3 could play them today, or they waiting for 'remastered' ps3 versions?
If Vita fails at least devs won't loose any money.

    "lose" money "lose"

As for remastered PS3 versions they may come at a later date they may not. Never say never but wouldn't not buy a Vita just on the off- chance they will come to PS3.

Don't forget to add the price of an official Vita memory card to store them on! If Uncharted is £5 cheaper online than instore and occupies a 4gb card on its own, assuming the RRP instore is £40, that's £55 for one game. Yeah, Vita FTW I don't think!

    lol Here we go again.
Did you not need a memory card for PSP? unless you were one of these people that finish a game on one play through. Most places are giving a card away with the Vita in bundles. Amazon are £214 with an 8 Gig card. Not massive but I have the Vita and you can just back it up to PS3 and then make more space on your card.
I remember 5 years ago a 1Gig card was well over £60. The rrp of a PS2 card was £29.99 for 8 MEG.

not only are the retail versions often cheaper but these downloaded games often need an online pass to be bought so you can play them online (not required yet for the retail versions), certainly golf and wipeout need an online pass for their download versions.
