Crysis developer Crytek is working on a new project with EA, a job ad posted by the publisher has revealed.

German developer Crytek previously told CVG that it fully intended to make Crysis 3, and that it already had a plan for how the series' story will progress.
However, the studio admitted the chances of launching a third game in the FPS series depended on the success of Crysis 2, which hits stores last March.

Didn't EA publish Timesplitters 3? Don't Crytek own the rights to Timesplitters? Don't I want Timesplitters?
It's confirmed, it's Timesplitters.

Good spot there Slick, i do like the Crysis games and would like a 3 at some point im more than happy to wait. But like you i realy want a Timesplitters 4 its so long since Future Perfect, I miss them crazy days of multiplayer nobody gave a f**k about KD ratio it was about steaming in and having fun.

Timesplitters 4 would be epic.

battlefront 3 or timespliters would be lovely jubbly. I assume EA has the right to do battlefront because of their partnership with crytek(who now owns the guys ho were originally developing BF3) and lucas arts(KotoR derp),

I seem to be one of the few people for whom Timesplitters did nothing. Wasn't that the one with the monkeys? Nope, just couldn't get on with the strange controls as I remember.
BG88 on 20 Feb '12 said:
you had to aim to controll the crosshair on TS1 and 2, on number 3 it was life all other FPS games. I know the game wasnt compatible with transgenders is that the problem ?

I thought Time Splitters was quite a poor game, didn't see what the fuss was. I didn't play Crysis, but I did play Crysis 2 which I thought was quite poor, got rid of it the next day. Nothing by EA excites me anymore.

i would love timesplitters but don't want to get too hyped up and be let down

Strange? All 3 Timesplitters games had completely customisable controls, so I'm not sure how anyone can complain about the controls really.
It was all about 4 player split screening, it was epic! It did mean you needed a multi tap and some friends, if you didn't have them and just played the SP...I can see how the game may seem overrated.

Crytek are going to be busy, aren't they also doing Homefront 2 for THQ?

Have just downloaded Crysis from Xbox live and itis amazing.
Also got Crysis 2 on the way and only paid £10 for it brand new.
What I want from Crysis 3? No damn Multiplayer. SP all the way just like the Xbox live version.

I'd like to see another Crysis.
No offense to Timesplitters fans but if it was as popular in the real world as it was on here they would've made a sequel already surely?
slick loose on 20 Feb '12 said:
I was under the assumption that Timesplitters was infinitely more popular than Crysis...
TheLastDodo on 20 Feb '12 said:
Crysis is a multi-million seller, I think EA announced Crysis 2 had sold 5m a couple of months ago, so another Crysis wouldn't be a shock.
The last Timesplitters was released in 2005, according to Wiki (feel free to correct). I'm not debating the quality of Timesplitters, I've never played it, I'm saying there's a difference between internet popular and mainstream popular, Crysis is clearly mainstream popular so it's more likely to be another Crysis game.

If you want Timesplitters style multiplayer, just go play Gotham City Imposters. Same sense of humour, same over the top gameplay, but with added Batman and Joker.
dwhlufc on 20 Feb '12 said:
Just give us Timesplitters HD EA and all you'd yearly updates will be forgive,oh and the awful awful crysis 2.
BenThomasFoster on 21 Feb '12 said:
I love these idiots. Your actually saying crysis 2 is awful then I wonder how you would find turely awful games? You are somewhat of a cancer on the gaming industry good sir

No need to be insulting, he is entitled to his opinion too. Not everyone likes the same games as everyone else.
KK-Headcharge78 on 21 Feb '12 said:
I agree, it sadly appears the Timeplitters boat is lost at sea. Although we say that about Road Rash and every man woman and child the world over wants another Road Rash....... don't they?

I'm an idiot because I didn't like crysis 2?
Now go back and read what youve just wrote and think....who's the idiot because he can't accept someone didn't like his beloved game?
Also how do you work out I'm a cancer on the games Industry?
Mmmmgrolsch on 21 Feb '12 said:
I also find Crysis 2 awful. Im a cancer then and I guess I should forget about the hundreds of games I've bought this gen and loved as because of one of the small few games that let me down this gen was Crysis. Because we all know Crysis 2 is the true innovator and a big step forward for the genre

I guess I'm just odd because I loved Crysis 2 but thought the original was overrated and just plain boring.
TheLastDodo on 22 Feb '12 said:
I agree on Crysis, I bought Crysis 2 for second time today, primarily because I have a 3D TV now so I buy anything I can get hold of with 3D modes.
For reasons I won't go into on here, I was going through absolute hell last year when it was released, even though my mind was elsewhere I actually finished it but just couldn't find a way to enjoy it or anything else at the time, so I'm hoping I'll enjoy it this time round.
Can't see it topping Resistance 3 or Bulletstorm but we'll see soon.
