2K Games has announced that sandy shooter Spec Ops: The Line will release in North America on June 26 and internationally on June 29.

2K's confirmed fans who pre-order the game from participating retailers will receive in-game bonuses that "enhance the multiplayer experience".
The pre-order 'FUBAR' pack contains the following online multiplayer content:
- Twice the amount of experience points will be awarded during the first week of play, enabling gamers to expedite character ranking;
- The AK-47 weapon will unlock at rank one;
- The "Officer Class" will unlock at rank one. This character class includes several team-based advantages, such as reducing damage to teammates and increasing the effectiveness of other classes;
- Access to the "FUBAR Pack," which contains exclusive accessories allowing players to customize their characters with unique and visually distinctive items.
"We're delighted to officially announce the first details about the multiplayer in Spec Ops: The Line," said Denby Grace, senior producer at 2K Games. "In addition, people who pre-order the game are going to have an immediate advantage in the multiplayer mode."
CVG foot soldier Nick Cowen took an updated look at The Line - you can read all of his thoughts in our Spec Ops: The Line preview.

I have to say I'm interested in this, not because its a military shooter, but because of the story elements. I do enjoy the horrors that dwell inside us coming to the fore.
I just hope its not gash. I can live without that kind of horror.

The story and setting appeal to me but i'm still skeptical with the shooting part. Then again, it's 2K so it should be somewhat decent.
May pick this up but probably not on relase as the SP will probably last 4 hours.
