EA has announced a free-to-play iOS and Andriod game based on The Simpsons.

The show's writers have contributed to the script for the game and the voice cast is also on board.
According to CNET, it's expected to be released on iOS within the next few weeks and will be free to download, with players given the option to make in-game purchases to boost their progress. An Android release is expected to follow shortly after.
EA's Bernard Kim has said the company "invested a lot" into the game. "It's absolutely a top-tier development priority for us... We want this to be one of the biggest titles this year," he added.
Last month The Simpsons Arcade was released on PSN and Xbox Live.

So it isn't free then. I hate Freemium games because they make sure you have to spend money to progress or stick at the game for about 10 years to progress.
I know they have to make money but just offer it at a decent price and give us all the content.

Agreed, I'd be tempted to buy this at the right price but I find my principals get in the way of paying for progress in a "free" game - once I get to a point I struggle to get passed without paying I just give up.

"Sold Out" might fit the role better
