US-resident RPG fans can now relax. Nintendo has confirmed today that the much-requested Wii JRPG The Last Story will be released Stateside.

XSEED Games, who's known for picking up obscure Japanese titles, has grabbed publishing rights in US, but wasn't ready to commit to a release date any more specific than 2012.

The game is the latest from Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, who formed his own studio, Mistwalker.

Nintendo has also confirmed that its other sought after Wii JRPG, Xenoblade Chronicles, will release in US on April 6 - a slight alteration from the previously expected April 2.

The Last Story is headed for a UK release this Friday. Check out a recent trailer here.

Yup Game are no longer doing the limited edition at all.........

They are also closing GAMEPLAY.CO.UK next week and closing 35 stores with near immediate effect.

Everyone wave goodbye to game, the company that had it all and blew it by hiring morons to run it
