While you might be tempted to rush out today and buy a Vita from the closest retailer, if you want to save a few bucks it's worth shopping around. Don't worry though: we've done some leg work and compiled prices from Australia's main retailers.

We've also found the best prices for memory cards so you can get everything you need to start playing a lot sooner, for as few dollars as possible.

PS Vita with WiFi: $348

PS Vita with WiFi and 3G: $418

Unfortunately, as noted on the website, the 3G model has sold out, but you can pre-order for the next shipment in 2012.

Forget this story heres one for you all................

GAME are to close GAMEPLAY.co.uk next week another site they own and have since 2004 and have just announced 35 stores are to close with near immediate effect.

Also Game will not be stocking the limited edition of LAST STORY on wii at all in any shops and now capcom look to be having problems with them as well as the current situation with namco and Ubisoft.

The click and collect system however that i told you all about months ago goes live in the next 90 days though.... Like anyone is going to use that service, lol lol lol

The end begins....... Next stop ZAVVI-LAND!!!!! OR WOOLIES-WORLD

Game has sold out of wi-fi models apparently.
This price list just makes me sad, no competition at all from retailers. Do they even want to make any sales down here?! (yes I am Australian!)

Yep just got the email from GAME to say they're closing gameplay. Not sure about the click and collect service, I guess with the fact that Sony are going to charge less for their downloadable content than many stores can sell for I don't see C&C doing very well.

if you're after the best price for Vita in the UK it's actually ASDA (or so I've been able to find)!
I did a post about it over here: http://www.saverscene.com/gaming-xbox-wii-ps3/27537-sony-playstation-vita-best-price-wifi-3g-deals-great-discount-ps-vita.html
