A US District Court judge in Maryland has dismissed a lawsuit against Nintendo which alleged that the Wii Balance Board and Wii Fit games infringed on several of patents.
According to Patent Arcade, IA Labs CA had argued that Nintendo's products infringed on patents it holds for a "force measurement system for an isometric exercise device", and a "computer interactive isometric exercise system and method for operatively interconnecting the exercise system to a computer system for use as a peripheral".
Rick Flamm, Nintendo of America SVP of legal and general counsel, said of the ruling: "Nintendo has a passionate tradition of developing innovative products while respecting the intellectual property rights of others. We vigorously defend patent lawsuits when we firmly believe that we have not infringed another party's patent. We refuse to succumb to patent trolls,"
