Transformers Prime: The Game announced

Help the Autobots save Earth from Megatron and his new secret weapon

Activision has announced Transformers Prime: The Game.

Based on Hasbro's animated TV show and designed for kids of all ages, it's set for release on Wii, 3DS and DS this autumn.

It'll see players helping Optimus Prime and the Autobots join forces with human friends Jack, Miko and Raf to save the Earth from Megatron and a new secret weapon.

Players assume the role of Autobots "as they explore unique vistas all around the world with brawler-style combat and diverse driving sequences".

Now Production is handling Wii and 3DS development duties, while Altron Corporation is making the DS version.

Activision Publishing executive VP David Oxford said: "Hasbro Studios has done a phenomenal job with the Transformers Prime television show. We are collaborating closely with the series creators to capture all the adventure, humor and friendships from the show to create an authentic action experience for TRANSFORMERS fans of all ages to enjoy."
