The Street Fighter X Tekken DLC pack that will bring the 12 Vita-exclusive characters to consoles will cost £16, $20 or 1600 MS Points, Capcom has confirmed.
Capcom sparked controversy recently when it was discovered that much of the data for these 12 'downloadable' characters are actually already on the retail disc of the console versions.
In a responding statement, Capcom said it included the data on the disc "to save hard drive space and to ensure for a smooth transition when the DLC is available, allowing players who choose not to purchase the content the ability to play against players that did."
Like it or not, you'll need to cough up the extra moolah to use the fighters, which will only be offered as a complete bundle - you won't be able to buy them individually.
Capcom has also detailed and priced a list of other DLC planned for the game.
A Swap Costumes pack will let you dress SF characters as Tekken characters and vice versa. There will be separate Tekken and Street Fighter Swap Costume packs, costing €12.99/£9.99/1040 Microsoft Points each, or you can buy costumes individually for €0.99/£0.79/80 Microsoft Points.
A list of free content is also on the way, including:
- Nine new gem packs totaling 60+ new gems
- Replay analyzer
- Tournament support for gem selection
- Three new quick combo pre-sets
- Three additional gem loadout slots
- Three new color packs with four colors each
