Kid Icarus: Uprising tops Japanese chart

Helps 3DS outsell all other hardware platforms combined

Kid Icarus: Uprising debuted atop the Japanese software chart during the week ended March 25, helping drive a sharp lift in 3DS sales.

Nintendo's title shifted 132,526 copies, beating Yakuza Black Panther 2 for PSP, which entered at No.2 with 104,937 sales.

Other new entries included PS3 releases Devil May Cry HD Collection at No.4, Ninja Gaiden 3 at No.5, and Mugen Souls at No.6, Andriasang reports.

On the hardware front, 3DS sales were up 30,000 units over the previous week to 94,000, outselling all other platforms combined. PS3 sales were down slightly to 25,750, PSP sales up a little to 19,875, and Vita sales roughly flat week-over-week at 10,302.
