Kingdom Hearts 3DS tops Japanese chart

Beats Konami's Pro Baseball Spirits to No.1 and helps drive jump in 3DS sales

Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance debuted atop the Japanese software chart for the week ended April 1.

The 3DS title sold 213,579 copies, beating out the PS3 and PSP versions of fellow new release Pro Baseball Spirits 2012, which shifted 90,433 and 60,141 units respectively.

The PS3 version of Silent Hill HD Edition entered at No.15 with 7,971 sales, Andriasang reports.

Square Enix and Nintendo released a Kingdom Hearts 3DS hardware bundle, which likely contributed to the jump in 3DS sales, from 94,011 units the previous week to 121,921.
