Dark Souls PC release confirmed

Mag claims it will have new bosses and be released in August

Dark Souls, From Software's critically acclaimed RPG, will be released on PC later this year.

That's according to German mag PC Action, which has the Namco Bandai published title on its cover as an exclusive reveal.

According to a few details posted on NeoGAF the game will be called 'Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition', will feature new bosses - with the rest of the content mirroring its console counterparts - and get released in August.

PC players eager to get their hands on the notoriously difficult RPG launched a campaign for the release, in January close to 46,000 consumers were reported to have signed a petition asking for Namco Bandai's Dark Souls to be released on PC.

The publisher responded by encouraging the activists to keep pushing for the release. A Namco Bandai forum administrator promised to make it a "personal objective to make sure every relevant people in Namco Bandai Games is in touch with this formidable effort". It seems the efforts have paid off.

Rumours have also suggested From Software is currently working on Dark Souls DLC titled 'Forest of Darkness'.
