Australian classification board outs Joy Ride Turbo

Microsoft seemingly readying a sequel to the disappointing Kinect launch title

The Australian classification board has rated Joy Ride Turbo.

The game was classified G (Caution: Gaming experience may change online) on April 5, with Microsoft listed as its publisher.

The original Joy Ride was a Kinect exclusive avatar-based racing game developed by first party Microsoft studio BigPark.

It was revealed at E3 2009 as a free-to-play Xbox Live Arcade game, but was later reworked as a retail Kinect title.

The original received a Metascore of 52 (we said it was the weakest of Kinect's launch games in our Joy Ride review), but developers have had a few more years to work with Microsoft's motion control tech, so presumably this one won't be as poor.
