FIX UP, LOOK SHARP
We can just about laugh at Lost Planet 2's abysmal level design now, but even after nearly two years on the shelves the horrors of that train level is all too fresh in our minds. Lost Planet 3 needs to do something pretty extravagant to redeem the series from its broken past.
For Lost Planet 3 to really succeed the pace needs to ebb continually and never get in the way of the narrative. We take looks at Uncharted and see just how phenomenally a story driven adventure game can work, where pace and level design are both expertly judged to give the player just the right amount of breathing space.
With any luck the development team will have kept a close eye on Naughty Dog's excellent example.
