Vita sales drop to an all-time low in Japan

While Kinect Star Wars' release boosts Xbox 360

Weekly Vita sales fell below 10,000 units for the first time in Japan during the seven days ended April 8.

Sales slipped from 12,105 units the previous week to 8,931, while no Vita games charted in the software top 20 chart.

All platforms recorded a dip in hardware sales bar Xbox 360. Sales of Microsoft's console almost trebled, likely due to the release of Kinect Star Wars, which was the week's second highest new entry on the all formats chart at No.12, selling 6,010 copies.

The latest PSP Super Robot Wars game entered at No.1 with 265,439 sales, according to Andriasang.
