Call of Duty: Elite has 10 million users

2 million of those forking out for premium memberships

Activision has confirmed that the Call of Duty: Elite service has hit 10 million registered users.

2 million of those, it added during an earnings call today, are paying premium subscribers, forking out the yearly fee of $49.99 for the year.

These numbers have climbed from the 7 million users and 1.5 million subscribers reported back in February.

The publisher also said that Modern Warfare 3 is still teeming with action with 40 million monthly active users (MAUs).

Activision said earlier this year that Black Ops 2 will be joined by the launch of Call of Duty Elite 2.0 which, without going into further specifics, sounded like a major relaunch of the subscription service for the new game.
