In case you missed yesterday's news, Hitman: Absolution will be released globally on November 20, but you won't have to wait that long to get a taste of the action.
A spin-off pre-order bonus, the Hitman: Sniper Challenge will be released next week on Xbox Live and PSN, and on August 1 on Steam.
Available free to those who pre-order the game, it'll give players a standalone experience featuring plenty of opportunities to put bullets in skulls as Agent 47.
We recently got the chance to talk to IO Interactive's Luke Valentine to find out more about it.
In a video interview which you can watch below, he told us: "The agency sniper rifle that you use in the Sniper Challenge is a weapon that you immediately carry over to Hitman: Absolution as soon as you play it. Based on your progress, over time you accumulate more points and as you go through thresholds of different points you'll unlock upgrades.
"Sniper Challenge is a one level experience. One way of looking at it is that it's a 15 minute game and that's it, but what people will discover when they play it is that it's so rich, and so full of replay value that you can spend a considerable amount of time playing it."
If you're sitting on the fence, might this tempt you to pre-order the game?
