'Wide-ranging' Max Payne 3 PC system specs released

"Will run smoothly on a wide range of PC builds," promises Rockstar

Max Payne 3 will the most high-end of PCs to their limits, but is scaleable enough to run nicely on a wide range of systems, says Rockstar.

The developer has released a helpful breakdown of different system specs that the game will play nicely with, just to ease any concerns you might have with your rig (or disappoint should your machine sit below the "lowest test specs" stated).

"As you can see from the specs list, we've worked hard to make sure the game will run smoothly on a wide range of PC builds," says Rockstar.

"But it's when you get towards the top end of that range that you can really push a game to its limits, and the game will look and run incredibly on the most advanced current machines around at the moment and well into the near future," it adds.

The PC version will arrive at the slightly later-that-planned date of June 1.

Here's the hardware breakdown:

Intel Dual Core 2.4 GHZ or AMD Dual Core 2.6 GHZ, or better
